The Act came into force on 1st July 1997 and relates to preventing/resolving disputes between neighbours, only when certain construction work is carried out. There are three types of Notice under the Act that can be served before a Building Owner can proceed with certain construction work:
– Line of Junction Notice
– Party Structure Notice
– Notice Of Adjacent Excavation
We use SurvPal software for our party wall services. We also have in-house members of the Pyramis & Thisbe club. We can act for both owners, as a jointly instructed Party Wall Surveyor, or we can act for a single owner; and work with the neighbouring owner’s surveyor to agree a Party Wall Award.
– Prepare and serve notices, awards and associated administration
– Schedule of condition
– Site inspection for the above and to sign off completed works
