Client Brief: The site consisted of offices on the upper floors of 44 Wellington Street and adjoining 3 Russell Street. The brief was to convert these upper parts in to three one bedroom apartments. Plus the first floor conversion of 35 Catherine Street into a two bedroom apartment. Also included within the works were the external repairs and decorations. The internal works required structural alterations to modify the floor layouts to create open areas within the flats. The thermal quality of the building was improved throughout and a BREEAM score of very good was achieved. Our role: to prepare drawings for change of use at planning. We were appointed as the Principal Designer for the project to prepare tender package including drawings, specification and pre-construction information. Once the contractor was appointed proceeded with contract administrator duties and as project manager liaising and communicating with the whole team.
