A recently completed project in Chinatown London by our Architecture and Building Consultancy department.

The Chinatown enclave currently occupies the area in and around Gerrard Street whereby this particular site is located in the heart of it all. A thriving and quirky part of London containing a number of Chinese restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, bars and souvenir shops.

The Chinatown enclave currently occupies the area in and around Gerrard Street whereby this particular site is located in the heart of it all. A thriving and quirky part of London containing a number of Chinese restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, bars and souvenir shops.
This Considerate Constructors Scheme refurbishment, extension and change of use project for our client Shaftesbury PLC achieved a fantastic 40/50 Considerate Constructors Scheme score. Works consisted of knocking through two addresses to form four high-end one bedroomed flats. A three bedroomed penthouse with its own roof terrace and Sedum Green Roof. All flats are fit out with KBA Kitchens, Havwoods engineered flooring with underfloor heating Fired Earth UK tiles and Grohe sanitary fittings.
A shell and core fit out including damp proof basement tanking and a new traditional style shopfront is now ready for a restaurant tenant to occupy and fit out accordingly.
Works also included common parts refurbishment and full external repairs and redecorations.
Our services for this £1.39 million JCT Contracts building contract carried out by LS Build Ltd over a 47 week onsite period involved a full design package to obtain local authority consents, preparation of the tender package and onsite contract administration/ project management from concept through to completion. Including liaison with approved inspectors MLM Group and structural engineers Furness Eng.
Now the flats are handed over to We Are MAPP to commence the property management. Whilst HG Retail London and CDG Leisure market the shell and core unit for a lucky new restaurant tenant to occupy and fit it out.
